Opening
The Council meeting opened at approximately 8:00 pm (UTC) on December 20, 2022. It was noted that proper notice had been provided to the Council in accordance with the Bylaws. All Council members were in attendance and the meeting had a quorum. The Council consented to the appointment of third-party notetakers.
2023 Budget
The Council opened the meeting by reflecting on the past year, and discussing the growth of the Forta Network. It was noted that many users and companies have begun implementing Forta into their core infrastructure, and that there had been overall improvement of threat detection in the Web3 industry due, in part, to the Forta Network.
The Council then turned its attention to the Forta Foundation’s 2023 fiscal year and reviewed aspects of the Foundation’s 2023 budget to continue its stewardship of the Forta Network, which included a review of the Foundation’s current assets, expected expenses and burn rate. A Council member asked a clarifying question regarding the Foundation’s expected expenses. It was noted that the Foundation does not expect any major changes to the budget year-over-year, though the Foundation remains flexible to shifts in the Web 3 industry.
The Council agreed that a final 2023 budget should be put in front of the Council for review and approval at a future Council meeting.
