Opening
The Council meeting opened at approximately 8:00 pm (UTC) on September 26, 2023. It was noted that proper notice had been provided to the Council in accordance with the Bylaws. Four of the Council Members were in attendance and the meeting had a quorum. The Council consented to the appointment of certain third-party notetakers and attendees.
Forta Network Update
A consultant for the Foundation provided the Council with a status update of the ongoing fee implementation approved by the community via the Forta Proposal Process. The consultant noted that Network data fees were launched in August and any user interested in Forta Network data can receive access by paying the requisite fees. The consultant also highlighted the two genres of plans currently available on the Network - a General Plan that provides access to the majority of detection bots and data on the Network, and various Premium Feeds for more curated data. A Council Member asked the consultant to provide insight on the payment methods being used by Forta users, and the consultant shared that General Plan fees are paid in FORT exclusively, while Premium Feed owners choose whether their plan is paid in FORT or USDC, and thus far, all Premium Feed owners have chosen USDC as their denomination and payment currency. The Council was pleased to hear that the fee implementation was going smoothly, and asked the Foundation to continue providing updates as things progress further. The Council then briefly discussed feedback from the community around the Forta Network’s user experience and how it might be improved, as well potential opportunities to better the data generated via the Forta Network.
